How Silent Roof Material Works
- Interception and Shattering: The smooth upper layer of the flexible polyamide/polyester Silent Roof Material intercepts falling raindrops and shatters them quietly on contact.
- Dispersal Matrix: Water trickles down through an open three-dimensional (3D) inner matrix instead of slamming directly onto hard metal or composite sheets.
- Silent Drip: The water drips softly from the matrix onto the original roof structure below, cutting out the resonant “drumming” or “pinging” sound common on metal and hard roofs.
- Zero Structural Load Addition: Unlike traditional soundproofing methods that rely on adding heavy mass layers (which strain building engineering), SRM is lightweight (approx. 800 g/m²) and does not increase the dead load on the roof.
